Who we are
Katie Acker is a lifelong North Carolinian whose personal and professional journey has taken her across nearly every corner of the state. Born and raised in Chapel Hill, she moved to Wilmington for college before returning home to earn her law degree at UNC–Chapel Hill. Katie later relocated to Charlotte, where she met her husband, completed her MBA while working full time, and began building her family. After the birth of her daughter, the opportunity to be closer to family took Katie and her husband to Denver, NC in the Lake Norman region of the Charlotte Metro area.
In 2020, the pandemic uprooted her family again, ultimately landing them in the Triad with a change in her husband’s employment. Navigating a relocation during an already chaotic time gave Katie a firsthand understanding of how overwhelming, isolating, and disorienting moving to a new city can be. She arrived in Greensboro knowing almost no one and without a built-in support network, yet was determined to rebuild a sense of connection and community for her family.
That experience became the foundation for Katie’s passion: ensuring others don’t have to navigate that transition alone. As she settled into the Triad, Katie has poured herself into learning the community—discovering neighborhoods, meeting local business owners, building relationships with schools and service providers, and exploring the region’s culture and unique character. Since making the Triad her home, Katie has become a connector, an advocate, and a go-to resource for newcomers seeking not just information, but a genuine sense of belonging.
Today, Katie channels her legal training, business expertise, and lived experience into creating a concierge service that makes every relocation feel seamless, supported, and rooted in community from day one.
